Topic of the day

Today fellows will examine the meaning of five basic human rights stipulated in the
Dutch Constitution by interviewing people on the streets in different neighborhoods.
How do ‘Amsterdammers’ perceive and talk about 1) the prohibition of
discrimination 2) freedom of religion 3) freedom of speech 4) the right to privacy
and 5) the right to a minimal living standard?

Group assignments
Fellows work in groups; interviewing locals on a pre-assigned topic related to human
rights & minority rights
